Viewpoints
are pre-defined camera positions in your Synthetic Environment. When named,
they show up in the list of viewpoints in your VRML plug-in, allowing quick
and easy navigation to areas of interest in your world. Set up as many viewpoints
as you can and give them descriptive names as this is the primary means by which
users will find their way around.
Viewpoint positions can be animated just like any other object in your scene, providing the user with an automated fly-through or fly-by animation. Additionally you can also create Hyperlinks to named viewpoints in your scene eg. clicking on the "home" icon might return the user to their starting position.

In the Property Inspector name the viewpoint vp1 and type a description of Entry Viewpoint. Ignore the other properties. If, at a later time, you need to make a change to the viewpoint then select it either in the perspective window or the Outline Editor, change your view then click on the Update button. |

Repeat the process until you have a total of 4 viewpoints named vp1, vp2, vp3 and vp4 respectively. Make sure the viewpoints together cover most of the camera and its interactivity. The user will need to access all the buttons, the lens and see the battery and memory stick animations. |
