Assembling the scene is analogous to setting up a stage before the curtain is raised. It is important that all the props and actors are in place before the action begins. Unlike a play or a movie, Synthetic Environments don't necessarily follow a linear script. The end-user often directs the sequence of (inter)action, so it is doubly important that everything be in place and complete before the scene is animated.
